Student Portal

Your student portal is an important resource that you will use throughout your time here at Criswell. From your portal, you can do the following:

  • Pre-register for classes each semester
  • View your billing ledger and view/accept financial aid awards
  • View your final grades for each semester
  • View an unofficial copy of your college transcript
  • View your class schedule and course information
  • Search a listing of ministerial and non-ministerial job openings

Student Criswell Email

  • Your Criswell email account is the primary place where you will receive email correspondence from the faculty and administration of the College. You are responsible for regularly checking your Criswell email and responding in an appropriate and timely manner. Please take the time to read the College’s Institutional Email Policy.

Canvas

If your professors use Canvas, this is the place where you will be able to do some or all of the following:

  • Access course syllabi
  • Interact with your professors
  • Upload assignments and take tests, quizzes, and other evaluations
  • Monitor your assignment grades throughout the semester
  • Dialogue with other students in your classes

FAQs

Q: What if I forget my Canvas username?

A: With the implementation of Microsoft Single Sign-on and Multifactor Authentication, a Canvas and/or Sonis ID/PIN/password is no longer needed to access the applications. If you do experience access issues, contact the IT Helpdesk at ithelpdesk@criswell.edu for assistance.

 

Q: What if I forget my email password, or Sonis Student Portal PIN?

A: With the implementation of Microsoft Single Sign-on and Multifactor Authentication, a Canvas and/or Sonis ID/PIN/password is no longer needed to access the applications. These are accessed through Microsoft 365 using your student email address as your username. If you forget your password for your Microsoft account, you may use the link provided on the password page while logging in to MS365 and follow the prompts to reset your password. If you experience issues resetting your password, contact the IT Helpdesk at ithelpdesk@criswell.edu for assistance.

 

Q: What if I receive a message that my Sonis account has been disabled?

A: With the implementation of Single Sign-on, this does not happen as often as it once did. If you feel your student portal has become locked or disabled, please contact the IT Helpdesk at ithelpdesk@criswell.edu.

 

Q: When will my classes show up in my Sonis student portal and Canvas accounts?

A: Your classes will be listed in your Sonis student portal once you have completed the registration process. If you do not see your courses in Sonis, check with the Registrar’s office at registrar@criswell.edu.

Your classes should be posted to Canvas when the professor publishes the course(s). If you do not see your classes in Canvas, you may need to contact the course professor to verify the course has been published.

 

Q: Does Canvas have a mobile app?

A: Yes. Canvas does have a mobile app. If you have questions on how to access the app, please contact the IT Helpdesk at ithelpdesk@criswell.edu.
